Airmatik plug and play air-cooled ammonia chillers using aluminium microchannels.

Aluminium microchannels are ideal for ensuring maximum heat exchange and a very low charge of ammonia, typically 30% more efficient than any other unit using synthetic refrigerant. Airmatik’s are custom made to suit any market in the world of subzero refrigeration, including air-conditioning and process cooling at any temperature.

The units are easy to transport in a standard shipping container and can be used with multiple types of compressors, screws, and pistons, including semi-hermetic screws.

They come fully assembled and are tested in the Zudek factory before delivery.

The chillers are compact and designed for installation on any flat surface without requiring expensive plant rooms.

In addition, they are available with our Telematik remote control which enables us to collect running data and monitor the refrigeration 24/7 if required.

Atex versions are available.

1. Microchannel condensers – the best technology currently available with aluminium microchannels, to ensure the maximum heat exchange and very low ammonia levels. Each condenser can be individually partitioned.

2. 1600 mm diameter fans – the large diameter of the fans guarantees low energy consumption for ventilation and 2.1 kWe for every 100 kW of heat with quiet operation.

3. Low noise emissions – axial fans with airfoil blades greatly reduce noise emissions.

4. Very low ammonia levels – since the volume in the aluminium microchannel condensers is very low, the amount of ammonia used in the system has been reduced significantly.

5. Less maintenance – every condensing coil can be replaced easily without compromising the machine’s operation, allowing maintenance on individual panels.

6. Simple installation – the chiller was designed for installation on any flat surface and is suitable for lifting and transport in containers.

We offer three versions of our Ecomatik water chillers, a single water-cooled unit, with an evaporative condenser on the top, or with a remote air condenser.
These are available in a fully enclosed cabin version and soundproofed for outdoor or indoor use. All power consumption and control systems are installed on the unit.
The double compressor design guarantees stability, safety and maximises performance even at extremely low loads.

Absorption chilling has been commercially available in the UK for a number of years, lots of people will be aware of Lithium bromide chillers which operate in large office buildings and are ideal for temperatures above +5°C, so ideally suitable for air conditioning, unfortunately, most chill and cold store facilities require temperatures significantly lower than that, so lithium bromide chillers have been unsuitable for some industries. This problem has been overcome using ammonia suspended in water solution. As a rule of thumb, the warmer the heat source than the colder the temperature that can be achieved. From +5°c to -45°c.

Our chillers have no compressor, simply one small circulation pump, it is therefore entirely possible to have for instance a 350kw refrigeration plant using as much power as it would take to run a domestic kettle. In turn reducing energy consumption and maintenance costs. There is no need for a plant room to contain any of this equipment, it can all sit outside and uses only 10% of the power that conventional vapour compression systems consume.

The absorption chillers can be installed in trigeneration plants if applicable and will work from waste heat from CHP, Biomass or simply from exhaust heat from flues/chimneys.

2. We reinvented hot water – Usually, cogeneration plants meet the high-efficiency cogeneration parameters only by using an absorption chiller.

The new trigeneration plants are built to provide a better overall efficiency and lower electric consumption. They produce simultaneously all the energy required by a company: electric, thermal and cooling energy.

3. Built to last – Absorption chillers are built to last under the most extreme conditions for many decades, Zudek design them to last for more than 30 years.

4. Low maintenance – Being an ‘oil free’ system with only one pump, maintenance is reduced, helping companies to significantly reduce the plant management costs. Moreover, thanks to our Telematik® system, absorption chillers are monitored via Telemetry. We are constantly checking all the systems parameters 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

5. Ecological – Ammonia is a gas naturally present in nature that does not pollute. It’s the best refrigerant available on the market with a zero GWP.

Our ammonia abatement systems can either be coupled with our chillers or added to existing refrigeration plants. They consist of a scrubber, a fan, and a detection system that neutralises any ammonia if it were to escape from the system, protecting not only the immediate area of concern but also neighbouring external environments. The abatement rate of our systems is up to 95%.
