Our client wanted a more reliable and nergy-efficient green chiller that reduced the operating costs and downtimes of the system.
At the time they had an R134a chiller installed. The business like many, runs a 24/7 production time which had a high electrical consumption and was at the time unreliable.
The Solution
We installed an Airmatik 4 to cool 800 kWr of water at +8/+12 °C, running on ammonia. This achieved energy savings of more than £80,000 a year. Swapping out the synthetic refrigerant also granted a GWP equalling 0: and avoids more than 400 tonnes of CO2 emissions per year.
We erased the downtimes of the chiller, With our remote telemetry system Telematik. This allows us to constantly monitor its main parameters and optimise the function of the unit.
